This is the second grant the museum has received from the foundation as part of an emergency response to support MIAC’s operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The art show, “Monumental Territory,” will be displayed in the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum’s Arts Corridor through the end of July 2021. The show features 22 creative works by Las Cruces artist Kayla Blundell.

A new online exhibit has emerged from a popular installation currently on view at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science.
Visitors to the museum’s website can now take a virtual tour of the in-person exhibition “Tiny Titans: Dinosaur Eggs and Babies,” which boasts New Mexico’s young dinosaurs from the late Cretaceous period, such as the Bisti Beast, Pentaceratops, and Parasaurolophus, and includes unique fossils and addresses how dinosaurs gave birth and raised their young.

SANTA FE – The Museum of International Folk Art (MOIFA) is excited to present a “charla” (chat) with filmmaker Cody Edison on his award-winning film “And Those Who Dance it Surrender Their Hearts to Each Other” at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24. The documentary focuses on the northern New Mexico string band Lone Piñon as the group pays homage to the region’s cultural roots. Edison and two members of the band, Jordan Wax and Tanya Nuñez, will share their stories and answer questions during the charla.
