(Albuquerque, NM) –  Who will build the amazing future of our human race? That question sparks a giant-screen adventure unlike any other in DREAM BIG: Engineering Our World, an epically fun tour of inspiration through the visionary advances made by yesterday’s, today’s – and most thrillingly of all, tomorrow’s – engineers. This film is the perfect encapsulation of what engineering is all about: ordinary people finding ways to defy the impossible and change the world, and their own lives, in the process.

As part of its ongoing commitment to STEAM education programming (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science is hosting the film Dream Big-Engineering our World, a heartfelt story of human ingenuity, free with museum admission, Saturday November 18th and bringing in a team of STEAM amd engineering to staff interactive booths in the Museum Atrium to provide guidance about the many fields and opportunities in engineering.

Dream Big – Engineering our World will be shown in the Museum DynaTheater at 12:00PM and 5:00PM.  Between showings, from 1:00PM – 4:30PM, booths in the Museum Atrium will be staffed by engineering and allied friends, sharing information about their firm or school program, along with hand-on engineering models and activities. Atrium activities are also free with Museum admission.

“Many scientists and engineers decided what they wanted to do before they reached high school,” said Margie Marino, Executive Director of the Museum. “Bring your kids and share the wonders of engineering with them.  Spark new interests and encourage existing passions.”

The Museum education team and Foundation have worked with The American Society of Civil Engineers to bring this event to the people of New Mexico.
