Come Join the Fun at the 2021 Museum Hill Community Day

Museum Hill Community Day is back, and you’re invited! The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs is excited to announce that this year’s Community Day will take place on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on beautiful Museum Hill located in Santa Fe.  

Bring your family, friends, or yourself to enjoy a variety of activities, music, and performances! Admission will be FREE to visitors at the following Museum Hill Partner Sites: Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (MIAC), Museum of International Folk Art (MOIFA), Museum of Spanish Colonial Art (MOSCA), Santa Fe Botanical Garden (SFBG), and the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian (WMAI). The International Folk Art Market (IFAM), another Museum Hill Partner, will also be on site.  

The Wonders on Wheels Mobile Museum (WOW) will also be showcasing “Música Buena - Celebrating Music in New Mexico.” The exhibit is curated by the Museum of International Folk Art.

Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners will be available to answer your questions about native plants at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden (SFBG) 

9:15 – 9:45 AM 
Docent-led tour of the Botanical Garden’s water harvesting and catchment system (SFBG) 

10:00 AM 
Acoma Sky City Buffalo Elk Dancers performs on Wheelwright Plaza (WMAI) 

10:00 AM – 2:00 PM 
Pick up a coloring page and sign up for a membership (IFAM) 

10:00 AM – 3:00 PM 
Learn about the Botanical Garden’s role in the Xerces Society’s Santa Fe Pollinator Trail pilot program (SFBG) 

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM 
Artist demonstrations all day with Doug Nava (retablos); Cristina Hernandez Feldewert (tinwork), and Julia Gomez (colcha embroidery) (MOSCA)
