Among the artifacts on display in Cowboys Real and Imagined are this Saltillo serape (courtesy Mark Winter); a ca. 1870s fiddle (courtesy Claude Stephenson); a Stetson hat, playing cards, dominoes, a Colt .36-caliber 1851 Navy revolver, a pistol holder with an embroidered “California” or “Slim Jim” pattern, and a Winchester .32-caliber 1873 rifle (New Mexico History Museum).
