Schlatters Healing Rod

From the exhibition:
Telling New Mexico: Stories from Then and Now

New Mexico History Museum

Francis Schlatter was a religious healer who wandered across the western United States in the 1890s. Thousands of people came to him for cures. He stayed briefly on Agnes Cleveland's ranch near Datil. He used this brass rod as an exercise bar to maintain his healing abilities.
