Fort Stanton Historic Site will host its annual Easter celebration, complete with more than 2,000 eggs hidden around the Site. Hunters will be divided into two locations, with one area reserved for the tiniest of egg seekers, toddlers to five years old, and the other area for ages 5-13 years old. The egg hunt will begin at 2:30 p.m. sharp! The Easter Bunny will be on-site for photo opportunities, where staff will take photos and email or text the digital files to those who have purchased tickets. Photo tickets cost $10 and can be purchased using cash or credit cards at the event. Happy hunters will be given the chance for an additional prize bag with the return of their empty Easter eggs. The afternoon includes Easter games on Tent Hill. The egg hunt is free to participate. This program is co-sponsored by Fort Stanton, Inc., the Site’s Friends group.
